OSI Contracted to Provide German Navy F126 Program with Two Additional Integrated Bridge Management Systems | Adding to the original contract, bringing the total to Six Shipsets

• OSI contracted by Damen Naval for two additional F126 Integrated Bridge Management Systems (IBMS) navigation suite shipsets, bringing the total to six
• Powered by ECPINS, OSI's IBMS is Proven, Compliant and Certified
• Over 50 German Navy assets are being fitted with OSI systems

September 4, 2024 —OSI Maritime Systems (OSI) announced that Damen Naval has awarded it a contract to provide an additional two Integrated Bridge Management Systems (IBMS) to the original order of four shipsets for the Federal German Navy's F126 (Niedersachsen class frigate) program.

ECPINS forms the heart of OSI's IMO type-approved IBMS, and as the leading WECDIS among NATO and Allied navies, it represents over 35 years of continuous development. ECPINS' capabilities and scalability meet the demands of Surface Ships, Submarines, and High-Speed Small Craft, enabling fleet commonality, interoperability, and reduced maintenance and training costs. In addition, ECPINS and OSI's IBMS underlying technology allows for integration into various other warship systems.

In addition to the F126 Frigates, OSI supplies navigation systems to the majority of the German Fleet, including over 35 combatants, as part of the K130 Batch 1 and RadEA navigation suite upgrade programs. Further, 12 small craft for the F126 frigates, KSM (special forces), and Seebataillon (marines) are being equipped with OSI’s high-speed and tactical navigation solution. Furthermore, a large number of operational and technical training simulators will be fitted with ECPINS WECDIS.

The news follows OSI's recent announcement to open an OSI office in Kiel. This strategic expansion will strengthen OSI's presence in the region and ensure proximity to our German customers and the company's local industry partners.

In celebration of OSI's growing presence in Germany, the company will exhibit at the DWT-Marine Workshop event from September 23 – 25, 2024.

Quote from Ken Kirkpatrick, President and CEO
"We are extremely pleased to have been awarded the additional IBMS shipsets for F126. The relationship we have with Damen and the German Navy has been growing at an impressive rate and we are proud of the value we bring to these world-class organizations."

Quote from Jim Davison, VP Business Development. “OSI’s German Navy success story highlights the company’s key role in supporting NATO naval fleets; however, the underlying message is even more exciting -- our widespread presence has effectively made OSI’s INTS the de facto NATO IBS, ensuring navigation system commonality across fleets. This reduces costs, advances technology, and most importantly, enhances crew and ship safety."
